Season’s Greetings from the Sapphire Group
December 21st, 2006 by katiar
All of us at Sapphire would like to wish you a Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year!
2006 has been an eventful year for the company with successes not only in DataEase but also in the development and delivery of database-driven solutions.
May saw the launch of DataEase 7 , the most significant release of DataEase to date. The new version boasts improved performance with the use of 64-bit file system, better design, and several new features. With a migration utility to help you quickly upgrade from version 6.x, there has never been a better time to move your application to the latest version. For more information visit www.dataease7.com where you will also be able to download the latest maintenance patch from 1st January.
Drawing on years of experience in DataEase and database management systems (DBMS), we have been going from strength to strength in providing database-centric solutions, such as new application development, legacy transformation services, complex website development and integration, and resourcing.
Typical projects this year have included redeveloping a DataEase for DOS application in .NET for the Houston Police Department’s Helicopter Patrol, one of the largest law-enforcement departments in the USA; and the implementation of a sophisticated office and web based . NET /Oracle solution to enable the placing of bets, price comparison across bookmakers and betting exchanges for UK’s Global BetBrokers, the World’s first independent betting brokerage company.
We have also been very busy with our website development and integration services. Through a partnership with a UK design company, we have created a number of websites and implemented their underlying technical structure such as content management system, e-commerce and database integration.
October saw the launch of a new version of Matchlogon, Sapphire’s authentication management solution. Matchlogon now integrates FingerPin, the world’s first sequential fingerprint logon system, allowing users to bypass username and ID input through simply inputting their fingerprints in sequence. The new fingerPIN concept will dramatically enhance security, while reducing administrator time lost on resetting passwords and improving manageability of passwords.
In this last quarter we also opened a new Sapphire office in Egypt to handle part of our conversion services and technical support. The new team is being managed by Jayesh Desai, a senior UK consultant with several years experience in project management.
All in all a very busy year!
We would like to thank you for all of your support… 2007 promises to be another exciting year for us and our customers and we look forward to continuing to work with you.
