Over the last 30 years, as CEO of Sapphire Group, I have published DataEase, a widely successful database software with over 3 million copies sold worldwide; published and distributed Sun Accounts, now a major accounting software leader, and selling it to more than 1,000 companies in the 80’s as a market maker; published Enterprise Developer, a client server RAD software tool developed in the early 90’s and sold to Symantec Corporation in 1995, then bought it back in 1998 and renamed it NetPlus; acquired more than 10 software and services companies in the 1988-2000 period, including graphics software, accounting software, vertical applications software, 1 training and three consulting companies; opened and managed offices in 15 countries, raised millions of pounds in various rounds of funding from VC’s; opened and managed offshore development offices in Russia (since 2000) and Egypt (since 2006); won various awards over the years including the prestigious NOA Project of the Year for the successful development and implementation of a .Net project (Betbrokers) in 2007.

I joined Sapphire 5 years ago and would call myself a ‘seasoned’ Sales Manager; with over 30 years experience in the IT industry it’s a valid word to describe me! I started originally in technical and consultancy roles, but over the last 25 years I’ve made a career in directing and developing Sales & Marketing in IT Services companies.
At Sapphire my role is to establish the foundations on which we create and maintain long-standing and mutually beneficial relationships with our clients in organisations that demand the highest standards of quality and customer service.
